About the author
Dr. Yasmine Elamir is a triple board certified Endocrinologist, Obesity specialist, and Internist who is the co-author of The Science-Backed Anti-inflammatory Diet for Beginners and The Sleep Revolution alongside her husband Dr. William Grist.
Her books are focused on helping readers gain the knowledge they need to “Save Themselves” by making evidence based healthy holistic lifestyle choices.
Dr. Elamir has a rich history in medical education and research, and currently runs a successful endocrinology practice in New Jersey with a special focus on diabetes, weight loss, and metabolism. After obtaining her bachelor degree at Johns Hopkins University and her medical degree from Ross University, she completed her internal medicine residency at Robert Wood Johnson Barnabas Health at Jersey City Medical Center. She then went on to complete her fellowship in Endocrinology at Mount Sinai Beth Israel Hospital in New York, where she was chosen as the chief endocrinology fellow. This kickstarted a successful career in medicine and medical research.

I found the section on reintroduction and management of an elimination diet particularly valuable, as I have yet to undergo that process.
