✅ Top1
Product Description
Enjoy your favourite music free of distractions with wireless noise cancelling headphones. Stay on the move with hands free calling and 35 hours of wireless playback on a single charge, or up to 50 hours of playback with wired listening using the supplied cable. Optimize noise cancellation or connect to your smartphones voice assistant at the push of a button. Neodymium Magnet Cord Length: Approx. 3.94 ft (supplied headphone cable); Frequency Response: 7 Hz–20,000 Hz; NFC: Yes; Cord Type: Detachable Single sided type; Volume Sensor: Yes. Battery Life (Waiting Time) : Max 200 hrs (BT: ON/Noise Cancelling: OFF) Few easy troubleshooting steps for better experience: Make sure that the noise canceling function is turned on (the indicator (green) next to the NC button lights up). Adjust the earpad position to fit your ears. The noise canceling function is effective in low frequency ranges such as airplanes, trains, offices, near air-conditioning, and is not as effective for higher frequencies, such as human voices. Initializing the headset to restore factory settings Disconnect the micro-USB cable, turn off the headset, then press and hold the button and button simultaneously for more than 7 seconds. The indicator (blue) flashes 4 times ( ), and the settings such as the volume adjustment are reset to the factory settings. This operation resets volume settings, etc., and deletes all pairing information. In this case, delete the pairing information of the headset from the Bluetooth device, and then pair them again. If the headset does not operate correctly even after initializing, consult your nearest Sony dealer.

First thing I notice they are light (by almost a full pound!), have a larger ear cup than the 950N1's, thus have a little bit better fit for people with larger ears. The design of the earpiece attachment to the headband looks like it will hold up much better and won't break like the 950N1's did, so 5 stars for that.
How do they sound compared to the 950N1's?? Well, the those were rated for Extra Bass out of the box and that was built into the headset itself. You didn't need to turn on the Extra Bass (button) because the bass was quite adequate without having to activate that feature and I have to say that in that regard they were noticeably better than these headphones. But wait just a minute. Hold the phone. Remember, those things weighed nearly a pound more than these 700N's and you know some of that was probably due to the magnets required for pushing that extra bass. But here's the good news, these 700N's are no slouches in the bass department, you just have to know how to get the bass boosted in these and the way to do that is through the Sony app that you can find in either the Android or Apple app store. Once you have that, then you have access to the full capability of what these headphones can do. Inside the Sony Music app, you can access any of about 12 different sound profiles, 3 of which you can customize. One of the presets is for Bass Boost (+7) but you can just as easily bump that up to a +10 in one of the custom profiles where you have access to a 5- band equalizer and the Bass Boost (1-10). Once you get that bass boost going the 700N's show you what grunt they have down low in the 40-60Hz range and you can accent that even more by dialing down the 400Hz and 1kHz settings on the EQ a couple of clicks. The real beauty of doing this through the app is that the settings stick on the headphones even when you disconnect from the app and want to listen to content from your computer. So essentially the app is re-programming the EQ settings that are inside the headphones. That is pretty cool! If you don't need massive amounts of bass, then you're going to be very happy that you saved yourself $120 over the 950N1's. These headphones also have active noise cancelling (NC) just as good as the 950N1's, too. The noise cancelling button on the headphones can be re-programmed to activate either Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa for the Android app or I think you would get a choice of Siri for the Apple app. You still have control of NC if you re-program the button, but you just access the function through the Sony Music app. Piece of cake!
So when I originally bought the Sony MDR-XB950N1's, I was in the store comparing them to Beats and Bose and some of the other high end brands. I selected the Sony's because they had great sound, great bass, were comfortable to wear, and were significantly less expensive than those big names. Better than Bose. Let that sink in. These 700N's are nearly every bit as good as the 950N1's as far as sound quality is concerned, especially when you tune the bass through the app. Even better, they are rated to give you over 30 hours of listening pleasure even with NC turned on. After charging them up the first time I put them on and listened to them for 7 hours straight and the power is still showing 100% in the app. That's ridiculously good!
So to recap:
Pros:
--Sound as good as Bose but for about $170 less; Superb Value!!!
--Very balanced sound, not too much bass out of the box
--Extra Bass is available through the Sony Music app as well as a 5-band EQ with presets.
--Can use for digital assistants like Google and Alexa
--Good noise cancelling
--Can wear for hours without feeling and pressure points on your ears or head.
Cons:
--Not as stylish as Bose or Beats
--Extra Bass only accessible through Sony Music app
--Your girlfriend/boyfriend is going to steal them if you ever break up. ;-)
Buy these! You won't regret it!
When I first turned them on and played a well considered song, I was so sad that the sound was incredibly flat. But. I did the app update and tweaked the settings and Holy, sh*t. These things are insanely impressive! They truly sing with a full and hearty yet punchy and throaty bass that I was craving.
I truly struggled with my decision but knew I wanted a great pair of cans that had great quality and strong bass. I thought my decision was made with the beyerdynamic 770 pros but I couldn't get over the flat reviews and the cord. Maybe they are better once tweaked, I'll never know. I am in love with these headphones and will not consider a new pair for quite some time.
The mic sucks. At least in loud environments over a pc connected voip call. The call recipient said they could hear the background noise more than myself speaking at a normal indoor register. I knew this going into the purchase because I, like your fine self, do my due diligence and read plenty of reviews first.
Pros
-Weightless.
-Comfortable af.
-Great sound clarity.
-STRONG Bass.
-Customization via app.
-Battery life is top notch.
-Buttons for next track and play pause etc.
-Google Assistant but I typically keep these connected to my work pc and without dual bt source inputs, I tend to not really care about this one personally. Maybe when I take these out on trips and such it will be nice.
Cons
-N/C isn't the best but honestly isn't bad. Read above for more.
-Long 0-100% charge time.
-Gross but the materials leave a greasy marks on them after wearing... Yes I bathe daily...
-Unless I am mistaken, you cannot pair these to two devices simultaneously.
-Cost, at least for my cheap @$$ (queue DaveChappelleImBroke.gif).
-Doesn't come with a case.
-Mic is terrible in an office setting for calls.
Also, check on Amazon for a really nice, fitted carrying case. @Sony, you need to include something like this at this price point my guys and gals. Be sure to include the WH-CH700N name in your search and it should show up. Plus y'all already know, I am stingy with the $ so yes, it's also cheap but pretty damn nice. I will get a 1 year review up when the time comes. Get them, you won't regret it.

Right after watching the movie and battery life indicator at 80%, I charged the unit to full capacity. The next morning, April 21 at 9:54 am, I listened to music continuously without stopping or pausing using Bluetooth and with the Noise Cancelling On. Removing the headphone in between and when sleeping. I let the headphone on and connected to my computer via Bluetooth all time. I check the battery indicator noon of April 23, 12 pm and it read a 20% battery level. Meaning to say, my headphone last 50 hours continuously playing music with some battery life left. I do not know if this is even possible, but it happened.
I find the unit light and wonderfully comfortable to wear for long hours. For me, the ear cup has the right softness and amount of foam thickness. It perfectly covers around my entire ear with enough space left. I did not feel the clamping power at all.
I bought this so that I can concentrate on my study setting noise cancelling on and volume between 20% to 30% normally. It works well for me so far in eradicating unwanted noise from car passing by in front of my house, evac home system, humming noise emitted by refrigerator and most of all, kitchen exhaust fan which is being used by my family very often because they are baking and cooking a lot almost everyday lately due to the current situation we have right now. It did not cancel noise completely but with the right amount of volume, it did.
I love my Sony WH-CH700N so far.
My review scores:
Sound quality:5/5
Noice cancellation:3.5/5
battery life:4.5/5
comfort:4.5/5
NFC AND Bluetooth connectivity:5/5
I highly recommend this product when you are planning to buy wireless headset at a budget of 10k to 15k
The soundstage is actually quite nice, and in certain settings these headphones really shine. For things like gaming, watching TV/videos, these cans perform very well, with a balanced yet lively sound signature.
The big letdown for me is the fact that in many genres of music, these headphones simply don't make the mark. This fact is blaringly obvious when listening to female vocals. Ariana Grande is one of my favourite pop artists, and these headphones don't do her voice justice whatsoever. Her voice sounds hollow in its higher register and lacks its typical luster.
This points to a larger problem with these headphones: the trebles aren't at all refined. This is something I've found to be the case for all of Sony's lower-end headphones. I haven't had the pleasure of listening to their highly-rated flagship headphones, but I'd imagine they wouldn't face the same issue.
Regardless, as a big fan of music featuring female vocals, these headphones leave me feeling a little let down. Not at the price point (amazing deal on Prime Day), but that's my impression on these headphones. They don't blow me away, but perhaps my expectations are too high. When compared to the $450 price point of Bose, no doubt these are excellent performers.
As for the construction and aesthetic of the headphones, these were the selling points for me. The headphones are pleasantly lightweight and comfortable. Sony really nails the industrial aesthetic, and I feel okay about wearing these in public. I don't think they look cool or sleek, but they are great for commutes. I haven't yet had the pleasure of taking them on an airplane, but I'll update my review in a few weeks after I do.
On the bus, the noise cancelling probably lowers noise by 20% or something marginal like that. As all the other reviews say, the NC is okay. Not amazing like Bose or anything higher end, but hey, it's there. Depending on what you pay for them, it's a nice feature. Same goes for the Sony headphones app. None of the features are going to flip your listening experience upside down, but they're there.
All-in-all, for its price point, these headphones were a solid buy. If you're super serious about music, you're going to feel a little bit let down, but it all comes down to what you're comfortable paying. If you're on a budget and in the market for portable over-ear headphones and they're on sale similar to their Prime Day price point, go for it! They're comfortable, solidly built, and immersive, especially for home listening. They're quite versatile, even if in some respects they don't excel.
