Style is very cute, wood on top is very pretty! It is also very comfortable. It lifts my laptop up just enough so I'm not bending my neck to look so far down as I did when I just put it on my lap. It does what it is supposed to do and makes using my laptop on the couch and in bed a much more comfortable and easy experience. The laptop doesn't slide around on it, and even if it did it has that block at the bottom to keep it from falling off which is nice. Love that I have a place to put my phone, and the band can hold a picture, to-do list, pen, or whatever you can think of. Cannot say anything about long-term use, but it seems like it is built well and should hold together long enough to make it worth the money. Be careful what size your laptop is however, mine fits perfect but it is quite on the smaller size and I can see how a bigger laptop may not fit properly. Would definitely recommend this product!

First let me say that my lap desk arrived in perfect condition, and I haven’t had any of the issues that other reviewers have noted. The top is sturdy and sufficiently thick, and it would take a good bit of force to break it (like stepping on it). The bottom is made of a heavier weight fabric, and it’s is sewn and well attached to the desk top.
I was looking for a lap desk that would be sturdy enough for multitasking, yet light weight and comfortable enough to use for hours at a time. I suffer from fibromyalgia and chronic pain, so there are days when I am confined to the couch or bed. This lapdesk is the perfect fit for me.
I can watch Netflix on my Fire HD 10, while I play games on my IPad. The desktop surface is smooth, but my tablets stay put in their Ugreen stands which have a rubber strip on the bottom.
My IPhone 7 Plus fits into the slot on top in its Otterbox case. It works stand up or lying on its side (see photos).
This lap desk also holds my 15.6” laptop comfortably, and the plastic bumper in the front keeps it from sliding off.
The fabric handle makes it easy to carry from room to room, and the elastic piece holds odds and ends to keep them from sliding around.

I purchased this for when I use my laptop in bed. I am disabled and spend a fair amount of time down and my computer would get too warm sitting on the linens. This has worked very well in keeping it cool and in providing a firm surface to keep it steady. The fact that the bottom has the beads in it makes it flexible and molds to whatever it is sitting on. It is extremely comfortable when sitting on your lap and the surface is great for writing or coloring. I also like the fact that it's not overfilled and puffy like some padded desks, it's just enough to provide some padding and a lot of flexibility.

I work from home a lot and got a new laptop (HP zBook15 G5) that sucks in a lot of air from the bottom, so I didn't want to just lay it on my lap with a towel like I did with the old one. This "LapGear Designer Lap Desk - Aqua Trellis - Style #45512" works perfectly for me. I guess the beads in the bottom are something like styrofoam because it does make my lap a bit warm - which will be perfect in the winter. I've been using the towel under it, more to keep it from accumulating body oils when I'm wearing shorts than any other reason. It is comfortable for long stretches - I have to go after about three hours anyway. It is quite light and I haven't seen any beads leaking or vinyl bubbling or peeling.

Yes it seems like flake board with a bamboo-pattern vinyl contact paper, but what did the guy expect for this price? It seems stiff enough to last a long time, barring any abuse.

The width is perfect across my legs - I'm 6'2 and 240 lb. With the zBook 15, there is a max of 4" at one side so I don't think that'd be enough room for a mouse. I don't use the slot. I do use the straps to manage two cables that run across the lap desk and they work fine for that.

Great lap desk! Purchased this so I could sit on my porch and work while my kiddo plays outside. I appreciate the fabric loop that keeps things in place, as well as the bar at the bottom that keeps items from slipping away. I have a fairly small laptop (I believe 13 inches?) and if there's anything in the pen/phone/whatever holder, there isn't much room to move the laptop around between that holder and the bar at the bottom to keep laptop in place. With that in mind, I'd not recommend this to those with larger machines, or for those who move their laptops around a lot. Overall, though, I've been happy with this purchase.

I like this desk. I was worried that it would not be any better that holding the laptop in my legs directly, but it actually is better, very much. It makes me tense my legs less and hold the computer less with my forearms. So I can type more easily for longer and door in a more comfortable seat than at at table or desk. Helpful because I have lots of back pain. I put my feet up on an ottoman and I can work for hours like that.

It's attractive. I would have liked maybe less of a bold pattern, but it's actually fine. Would also have liked the slot to be wide enough for a tablet and not just a smartphone. But I don't really use that feature anyhow. I would if it were for my pad though, with a keyboard. Works very well with my 13" MacBook air.

I have used it in lots of different circumstances too. A little annoying to carry around to waiting rooms but does make it so so much easier to work actually on ones lap than with just a laptop.
