Powerful, good price, but lowest setting is quite high. Some storage issues.

I didn't want to waste money on a name brand mixer that might not work any better than this for my basic needs, and I'm generally happy with this purchase. Stainless steel attachments (rather than chrome plated) were a must for me and this has those. Biggest shortcoming so far seems to be that the lowest speed this runs at is dang high. I'm guessing that may be intentional by the manufacturer as running a mixer at a slow speed might be hard on the gears in some situations like when mixing something fairly stiff or thick.The storage base is a good idea but it should be deeper so the cord would fit it it more easily. It would be easier to pack the cord if it was removable but that would probably add cost. Frustrated that the mixer sits on but does not attach to the base which makes storing this in a drawer impractical, and on a shelf treacherous as it's easy to knock the mixer off the base which would send the contents spilling. This already happened to me. I placed a couple rubber bands around the assembled unit to hold it together... problem solved.
