Size: 8"+10"+12"Color: Skillet + Cast Iron LidVerified Purchase

The 3 pan set with cast iron lids are very economical and worth the money! The lids also fit on several other pans I already have.
But be aware that these are very rough and the pre seasoning is just to prevent rusting while in storage for purchase. I wouldn’t consider them ready to cook on. It’s going to take 4-5 cycles of seasoning to get them to function well while cooking (but that is typical of modern cast iron).
I just got my pans tonight and have done one cycle of seasoning with beeswax/grape seed/canola oil on them. It’s going to take at least 3 more cycles to get them cooking worthy. But don’t let that discourage purchase, it’s worth the effort and these pans will last many, many decades or longer if cared for. Just realize that cast iron does take a bit of initial work to get them to cook well...and once it’s done the maintenance is minimal.
This was a wise and economical investment that will last a very long time (in fact, improve over time).
I would purchase again...except there isn’t a need to (these will likely last a century or more).
For anyone that isn’t sure on how to season or care for cast iron there are a lot of videos that explain the process. It isn’t hard...and you’ll soon realize that cast iron cookware is superior to any modern nonstick pans.
Only thing I don’t use cast iron for is acidic sauces, like spaghetti...so having a few non cast iron sauce pans is still a good idea.

I purchased this set as my first cast iron skillet set. It took me a few uses to get accustomed to cooking with cast iron. I can definitely see how people are burning their food using these skillets.

There are a few things you need to do to ensure you maintain these skillets. First, you should season this set. They come pre-seasoned, but that is not enough. Research how to preseason cast iron skillets. It takes about 45mins and it will ensure you skillet set forms a durable non-stick surface.

It's important to wash, dry, and lightly oil these skillets soon after each use. Lightly oiling these skillets prevents rusting while in storage. I was surprised at how easily stuck-on food washes off. This is due to me pre-seasoning this set as mentioned above.

For cooking, I recommend turning the fire down and cooking things slower until you get a good feel for this set. Cast iron distributes heat more evenly and better than other skillets, so cooking on high can and will burn your food fast if you're not watching closely.

If you follow these recommendations, you will love this set and it should last you a lifetime.

I am tired of buying pans over and over again. They are expensive and only last about 5 years. I love my cast iron. Easy to use. Easy to clean (with a chain mail scrubbie). Si sigues las instrucciones y la usas correctamente es lo mejor que existe, si no la usas tal cual es un dolor de cabeza, el primer curado como dice las instrucciones es el más importante luego es solo usar lavar normalmente y secar con un paño y aceitar, yo lavo normalmente con esponja seco con un paño de microfibra de esos de Costco y luego echo un tantito de aceite y con un papel de cocina esparzo el aceite por toda la sartén y así lo dejo listo para su próximo uso, si haces ese simple paso tienes sartén antiadherente para toda la vida
