It's cheaper and has all the features I like in Moleskine journals (pocket inside, elastic to keep it together, etc.) AND it has more pages. I had to stop myself from buying more, honestly. I haven't even filled the pages in this one yet!

Overall, a sturdy journal that has stood up to the abuse I've put it through (markers, paints, tapes, using it to dry flowers, collages, etc.) I'm very happy with my purchase!

I've been looking for a good, affordable, modest sized, blank journal, that takes fountain pens ink well. I have a Hippo Noto, which is Tomo River paper, and is great, but it's big and very expensive. This one works for me, unlike a Moleskin, it takes Noodler's Ink Bad Belted Kingfisher (blue black) and J. Herbin Caroube de Chypre (fancy brown) inks with minimal feathering and minimal bleed through. I'm quite happy, it's a great value for a great product. I'll keep buying Hippo Notos, but for things like work and random scribbling, I'll use one of these
